Major League Gaming Joins SOPA Blackout, Pulls 100 GoDaddy.com Domain Names
Pro gamers have joined in on the anti-SOPA (Stop Online Piracy Act) cause. With the House Judiciary Committee hearing on HR 3261 scheduled for January 18th, Major League Gaming (MLG) will take part in the global blackout initiative. All sites within the MLG network, including www.majorleaguegaming.com and www.gamebattles.com, will go black from 8 am to 8 pm ET on January 18th. During that blackout, MLG will host a message to gamers with additional information about SOPA to help educate the MLG community about the bill.
